Land of the Loon 2024

The Land of the Loon Festival in Virginia, Minnesota is one of our favorite parades to do as it used to kick off our “busy” season of parades. (This is no longer the case but we remember it fondly)

The idea of Ghostbusters North germinated from this parade when Adam was a kid in the audience around 1993. A group had dressed as the Super Mario Bros. characters and handed out chocolate “gold coins” to the people in the crowds. This resonated well with Adam as a fictional character became “real.” Now, we do our best to blend reality and fiction with those that interact with us.

2024 was a banner year as we had the chance to reconnect with our highlight of the parade in Willie, seen in the photo above wearing a Ghostbusters hat and shirt. His smile says it all!

We were gifted hundreds of posters for GHOSTBUSTERS: FROZEN EMPIRE from Sony Pictures Inc. which made it about……three blocks. It’s amazing how one can spend hours rolling posters to have kids take them all in a matter of minutes!

We look forward to this parade again in June of 2025 and we hope to see you all there.
